Otoplasty or cosmetic ear surgery is a cosmetic procedure to alter the position, shape or size of the ears. Otoplasty may be used for many reasons, most commonly to correct ears which stick out more than desired from the head, to correct ears misshapen by injury or to reduce the size of large ears. Otoplasty is typically performed on both ears to aid symmetry.
